All FireTEAM and CPAT testing results needed to be posted on the District's National Testing Network account by close of business day (4:30 pm) January 30th, 2015. Potential candidates will be notified by email or regular mail by February 6th, 2015.

West Manatee Fire & Rescue is an Independent Special Fire Control District located on the west side of Manatee County, Florida. The District is bordered by the Gulf of Mexico on the west, Tampa Bay on the north, Town of Longboat Key on the south and the City of Bradenton on the East. The District includes the three cities of Anna Maria Island: City of Anna Maria, City of Bradenton Beach and the City of Holmes Beach. The District also serves the unincorporated area of Cortez, Palma Sola and Northwest Bradenton. Our District is approximately 18 square miles with an annual population of 34,705 that increases to 47,705 during season (November through April). We also have over 2.4 million visitors to our public beaches each year.
Our District has 3 fire stations, employs 42 career and 30 reserve members that protect an area valued at $5 billion on 19,804 parcels. The operating budget for fiscal year 2014-15 is $5,896,244.48 and a capital/reserve budget of $4,351,718.00.
FireTeam and CPAT Information
West Manatee Fire Rescue uses FireTeam (a video based exam) and CPAT (Candidate Physical Abilities Test) as initial screening tools in the pre-employment process for firefighter positions.
FireTeam and CPAT are offered through the National Testing Network. Visit: www.nationaltestingnetwork.com to schedule events. Simply select the fire icon and then click on the applicable position sought with West Manatee Fire Rescue. The site will then navigate you through the various components required to schedule an exam.

Upon completion of the required exams, all candidate scores will be automatically forwarded to West Manatee Fire Rescue for consideration. Scores are valid for one year from testing date.
